About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate, committed, and resilient individuals or couples to join our fostering team as Parent and Child Foster Carers.
This unique and rewarding role involves providing a safe, structured, and nurturing home for a parent (usually a mother) and their baby or young child (aged 0–7). You will offer guidance, support, and role-modelling to help parents develop essential parenting skills and create a stable, loving environment for their child.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, caring, and supportive home environment
- Observe and assess parenting capacity, completing weekly activity logs
- Work closely with social workers, health professionals, and other agencies
- Attend review meetings, training sessions, and support groups
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with babies or young children (personal or professional)
- A calm, non-judgmental and patient nature
- A spare bedroom in your home
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Willingness to undertake training and ongoing professional development
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting both parent and child

Supervising Social Worker

Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and carers? We are seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic and supportive fostering team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular supervision, support, and guidance to foster carers in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Undertake robust assessments, including viability, parent and child fostering assessments (PACFA), and annual reviews.
- Monitor the safety and wellbeing of children placed with foster carers through regular home visits, phone calls, and unannounced checks.
- Liaise effectively with social workers, local authorities, health professionals, and education providers to ensure a multi-agency approach to care planning.
- Promote carer development by identifying training needs and supporting carers in accessing learning opportunities.
- Contribute to the organisation’s matching process, ensuring placements are safe, suitable, and meet the child’s needs.
- Attend and contribute to child reviews, placement meetings, and fostering panels.
- Maintain accurate, timely case recordings in accordance with data protection and agency policy.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Strong assessment, recording, and communication skills
- Knowledge of fostering legislation, guidance, and standards
- A commitment to child-centred and trauma-informed practice
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management
- Flexibility to travel for home visits and meetings
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
